Columbia College has named Michael Grissom assistant dean for Adult Higher Education and the Online Campus. Grissom will represent the Adult Higher Education department and the Online Campus in all venues. He will be responsible for operation of the Testing Center and development of policies and procedures. "Michael comes to us with experience in management, technology and higher education," said Dr. Gary Massey, dean for Adult Higher Education. "This is a great addition to our team, and we look forward to his fresh perspective." Grissom earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Missouri and a master's degree in teaching from Webster University in Webster Groves, Mo. Prior to joining the college, he served as associate vice president for information technology at Fontbonne University in St. Louis where he managed IT department staff and provided leadership to the university on all facets of information technology, telecommunications and instructional media.
