COLUMBIA, Mo. - Columbia College is pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Allison Friederichs to move from assistant director to director of Columbia College-Denver.
“Over the past few years, Allison has done a remarkable job within our organization as assistant director at our Denver campus,” said Gary Oedewaldt, associate dean for Adult Higher Education at Columbia College. “We look forward to working with Allison in her new role.”
Friederichs will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the campus, including class scheduling and student and faculty recruitment.
Prior to joining the college, Friederichs served as a freelance communication consultant where she provided services to business, corporate and academic clients on areas such as conflict management, interpersonal communication and workplace communication. In this role, she achieved several professional milestones, which included researching and designing new courses for University College at the University of Denver and creating corporate seminars for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Friederichs also served as an adjunct communications instructor at the University of Denver and Regis University.
Friederichs holds a bachelor’s in organizational communication from Indiana University-Indianapolis and received a master’s and Ph.D. in human communication from the University of Denver.
