Columbia College-Redstone Arsenal to hold commencement Nov. 10

Redstone Arsenal, Ala., Nov. 6 -- Columbia College will recognize graduates at the Redstone Arsenal campus commencement ceremony Saturday, Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the Bob Jones Auditorium in the Sparkman Center. This year’s commencement recognizes 144 students who completed degree requirements during the 2011-2012 academic year.

Dr. Michael Polley, associate professor of history, will give the commencement address. Charles Williams, education services officer at the Redstone Arsenal U.S. Army Education Center, will provide remarks. Gary Oedewaldt, associate dean for Adult Higher Education, will confer degrees. Josh Muder ’99 will provide an alumni address. “Our graduates have succeeded in balancing numerous responsibilities with their career aspirations," says Oedewaldt. "Seeing graduates succeed in their educational endeavors and receive their degrees is the highlight of every graduation I attend."

Columbia College-Redstone Arsenal was established in 1975 to serve the military population and their families on the base and in the surrounding communities. The campus serves 350 students annually.
