Columbia College is pleased to announce the promotion of Randy Schenewerk to bursar and the addition of Allen Schelp, CPA, as controller.
“Randy is already a great asset to the college’s business office, and we are excited to work with him in his new role,” said Bruce Boyer, chief financial officer. “Allen will be a great addition as well due to his years of experience working for a private accounting firm.”
Schenewerk will oversee the business office and will focus on all management for student accounts, billings, sponsor and third-party billings, account collections, cashiering functionality, daily cash management and compliance relating to commerce systems. He holds an associate degree in accounting from Linn State Technical College in Linn, Mo.; a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Columbia College; and an MBA with concentrations in accounting and human resources from William Woods University in Fulton, Mo.
Schelp will be responsible for the college’s accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, accounts payable and disbursements and policy compliance. He has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo., and earned his CPA license in 1994.
