Columbia College of Missouri-Elgin has awarded the 2012 Elgin Campus Excellence in Education Scholarship to Cassondra Reichenbach of Genoa, Ill. The $500 award for the upcoming June Session is made possible by donations of faculty members. Reichenbach is working toward a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
The Excellence in Education Scholarship is presented to a full-time Columbia College student with a minimum 3.5 GPA who has maintained good financial standing with the college and has submitted an essay on how the scholarship will help the student achieve his or her academic goals.
In 1997, Columbia College of Missouri-Elgin was established as a degree completion program via an articulation agreement with Elgin Community College. Today, it is located in the University Business Center on the Elgin Community College campus and continues to serve adult learners in Elgin and surrounding areas.
Columbia College of Missouri-Elgin offers five on-campus bachelor’s degrees as well as 23 associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees online.
