(COLUMBIA, Mo.) -- Tery Donelson has been appointed to the newly created position of assistant vice president for enrollment management. He will oversee and coordinate the efforts of admissions, financial aid, evaluations, records and transcripts. His principal charge will be to analyze, engineer and, where necessary, re-engineer processes to embed enrollment management principles and best practices into the college culture.
“Developing a cohesive, coordinated and effective enrollment management plan was the top goal approved in the Transformational Plan,” said Dr. Gerald Brouder, president of Columbia College. “This new appointment will take enrollment management, and thereby the college, to the next level."
Donelson's previous positions at the college include special projects coordinator and, most recently, assistant dean for military and federal programs. He brings to the assistant vice president position more than 15 years of experience in program management and leadership. He also has nine years of experience in education and training. He is actively involved with the Hickman High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association, the Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health, the Columbia College Relay for Life team, the Mid-Missouri Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America and the Memorial Day Weekend Salute to Veterans.
Donelson received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1982, and a master’s degree in space operations from the Air Force Institute of Technology in 1987.
