![]() Read more about the human resources major |
"We are proud to offer this new major as part of our business administration program," said Bill Dardis, director of Columbia College-Hancock Field. "This has been requested often from students, and we are pleased we are able to accommodate them."
The major will challenge students in the areas of human resource development, compensation and benefit systems, and workforce planning and employment. Courses in all three areas are being developed to ensure students receive exposure to a broad range of topics.
Columbia College-Hancock Field is part of Columbia College's network of 30 extended campuses nationwide, offering classes one night a week in convenient eight-week sessions. Classes are taught by practicing professionals with at least master's degrees so students can balance academic theory with real-world experience.
Columbia College was founded in Missouri in 1851. Today, the college serves 20,000 students at its Day Campus, Evening Campus, Graduate Program, Nationwide Campuses and Online Campus.
