Columbia College's Tevlin wins NAIA award

Columbia College soccer player Tim Tevlin won the Dr. LeRoy Walker Champions of Character award. The award honors a student-athlete who excels in athletics and academics. It is named after Walker, the president emeritus of the United States Olympic Committee and a former president of the NAIA. Tevlin was chosen as the American Midwest Conference's winner after earning academic all-conference honors and being named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete. He was a team captain and vice president of the Columbia College Peace Club.
