Columbia College-Jefferson City brings judges to campus Thursday, April 13

WHO: Missouri judges will speak to Columbia College students about the judicial system, particularly selection and retention of judges.

The following legal professionals will be available:

JON EDWARD BEETEM: • Elected circuit judge 2006 in Cole County, 19th Judicial Circuit • Term expires Dec. 31, 2012

JUDGE RONALD R. HOLLINGER: • During Governor Blunt's term, Holliger was one of three nominees submitted by the Appellate Judicial Commission to the Missouri Supreme Court • Currently works in the Attorney General's Office as General Counsel

JUDGE MARY R. RUSSELL: • Appointed to the Missouri Supreme Court in 2004 • Retained by voters in Nov. 2006 • Term expires Dec. 31, 2018.

WHAT: An information session where current and past judges will be available to answer questions about the judicial system.

WHEN: April 13, 2011; 8 - 9 p.m. with time for media interviews after panel discussion
