Columbia College expands Marketing team

(COLUMBIA, Mo.) - Columbia College recently announced three new hires in its marketing department. Brian Heying will fulfill the role of digital marketing specialist, Leanne Casey will work as a marketing analyst and Brenda Myers will serve as the director of marketing strategy.

"We are pleased to have Brian, Leanne and Brenda join our team," said Lana Poole, executive director of marketing at Columbia College. "They all have unique professional backgrounds that will complement each other and our department as a whole."

Heying graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and previously worked as a creative marketing specialist for TimeLine Recruiting, also in Columbia. Heying's duties as the digital marketing specialist include maintaining all online paid advertisements and creating and implementing e-mail blasts and digital video and audio files. He also assists with the search engine optimization of the Web site.

Casey attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she received bachelor's degrees in psychology and business management. She later earned an MBA with an emphasis in marketing. Casey's responsibilities include data preparation, dashboard creation, report generation, customer and competition analysis, trend research and tracking.

Myers comes to the director of marketing strategy position with previous management, implementation and communication experience. Most recently, Myers worked for the Special Learning Center in Jefferson City and also has provided consultation to a number of clients in central Missouri through her business, Myers Communications. In her position as director of marketing strategy, Brenda will work with campus marketing teams and oversee planning and implementation of marketing strategies in all Columbia College markets.
