About NAS Jacksonville campus
Columbia College-NAS Jacksonville was established in 1990. The campus, onboard Naval Air Station Jacksonville, has multiple high-tech classrooms, a computer lab, qualified academic advisors and faculty and high-speed, online access to library resources.
More than 500 students each year take a mix of in-seat and online classes.
Columbia College-NAS Jacksonville has an agreement with Florida State College at Jacksonville, which allows students a seamless transition from an associate degree through a bachelor’s degree, and beyond, at Columbia College.
Columbia College-NAS Jacksonville was established in 1990 onboard Naval Air Station Jacksonville. Today it continues to serve civilian and military adult learners in the area.
Columbia College-Jacksonville is part of Columbia College's network of nationwide campuses. The first extended campus was founded in St. Louis in 1973 after an Army education services officer was interested in providing courses to Army recruiters in the area.
Today, the Division of Adult Higher Education at Columbia College includes over 30 campuses, including one in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. About half of Columbia College's nationwide campuses are on military bases. The Online Campus at Columbia College also serves students in the Jacksonville area.
