      attend classes across the U.S.

Columbia College educates nearly 25,000 students at its more than 30 extended campuses around the country and its main campus in Columbia, Missouri. About half the campuses are located on military bases, most of which serve both military and civilian students.

      it's a matter of degree.

Columbia College offers associate, bachelor's and master's degrees. The degree programs vary from campus to campus. You can browse this Web site or select a campus near you to learn more about the degree programs available.

Overall, the most popular degrees pursued by adult learners are business administration, computer information systems, criminal justice administration and general studies. No matter which degree you pursue or which campus you attend, the degree programs follow a master syllabus and are accredited. This ensures quality and consistency within a course no matter where in the United States you take a class.

find support when you need it.

We realize it can be intimidating to go to college as an adult learner. That's why we provide the resources you need to have a successful college experience, such as one-on-one advising, full Internet access to library resources and textbook purchases by phone, fax or e-mail.

      prove yourself here.

Our classes are intentionally small with an average faculty-to-student ratio of 1:15. This provides an ideal environment for students to interact with instructors one-on-one and exchange ideas with other working adults.

Also, you'll learn from qualified instructors, not teaching assistants. Most of our instructors work in the field in which they teach. So what you learn today, you can use tomorrow.

earn your degree sooner than you think.

Columbia College has a generous transfer credit policy and offers a variety of testing options and other programs that recognize professional training experience. All admitted students receive a free transfer credit evaluation to help determine what it will take to graduate. You may be surprised at how close you are to earning your degree.

  • Transfer in.
Even if you completed college courses decades ago, those courses may still transfer if you attended an accredited college. You also could receive college credits for military experience as well as for completing a police academy or basic training academy in corrections.
  • Or test out.
Also, you could earn credit for successful completion of CLEP and DSST exams.

      easily apply for admission.

You don't have to take an entrance exam, write essays, produce letters of recommendation or be interviewed by admissions counselors. It's not that we're not interested in your past, it's just that we are more interested in your future.

So whether you are starting college for the very first time or you want to finish the degree you started years ago, we stand ready to help you achieve your educational goals.
