Columbia College-Los Alamitos to hold commencement ceremony June 9

(LOS ALAMITOS, Calif.)-Columbia College-Los Alamitos will confer two associate and seven bachelor's degrees to students at a commencement ceremony at 6:15 p.m. Friday, June 9 at Liberty Theater on Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) Los Alamitos.

Brigadier General James P. Combs, JFTB Los Alamitos commander and commanding general of the 40tth Infantry Division, will be the featured speaker. Mike Randerson, Columbia College vice president for Adult Higher Education, will confer degrees.

"For more than 30 years, Columbia College has helped working adults and military personnel pursue college degrees," said Randerson. "Commencement is an opportunity for faculty, staff, friends and family to celebrate each student's accomplishment."

Columbia College-Los Alamitos was founded in 1997 on JFTB Los Alamitos to serve military personnel and their family members, as well as working adult learners in Orange and Los Angeles counties.

Columbia College serves nearly 25,000 students each year at its Day Campus, Evening Campus, Online Campus, Graduate Studies Program and its more than 30 Nationwide Campuses.
