Heather Frayer wanted her children to see her graduate. But as her son sought
treatment for cancer at St. Jude, she was unable to attend her graduation.
Then Columbia College and a nonprofit helped Heather’s wish come true.
In a series of stunning coups, some of the Midwest’s top high school recruits officially announced their plans to attend Columbia College in the fall of 2015. Cameras were there to capture the historic announcements.
Each year, Columbia College awards 10 full-tuition scholarships to incoming
students through the Scholarship Day program. Five of the 10 also receive a
scholarship to cover room and board in addition to tuition.
At Columbia College, art students don't have to worry about being pigeonholed into one artistic discipline. Working across the arts, they build a comprehensive set of skills that can be applied to many different careers. See video.
