Student Group: ECO (Environmentally Conscious Organization)

Columbia College works with ECO

ECO originally began as a student-recycling group and now works to keep Columbia College students and the campus community aware of environmental issues. In the residence halls, ECO members help educate residents about the campus recycling program. ECO members also perform community service projects such as stream cleaning on Cleanup Columbia Day, hold local produce potlucks, film nights, and t-shirt swaps, and some members were active in the Missouri Clean Energy ballot issue. One ECO member created the “Green Science Building” petition and solicited approximately 250 signatures.

To find out how you can be a part of ECO or to be added to the ECO e-mail list, contact Nicole Kenoyer, ECO student president, at nrkenoyer1@cougars.ccis.edu.
