From March 14 - April 1, students at the Columbia, Mo. campus are encouraged to submit academic papers to compete for honors in the college's first Festival of Writing.
Sponsored by the Writing Center, the Humanities Department and Sigma Tau Delta honor society, the festival kicks off with an opening ceremony on April 14 and continues through April 20.
Selected papers will be displayed in the Atkins-Holman Student Commons, along with a brief profile and photograph of each writer. Winning students will be eligible for raffle prizes and will have opportunities throughout the festival to read excerpts of their work to students and faculty.
To submit a paper, students must pick up an application form at the Writing Center, 117 Missouri Hall, or the Evening Campus office, 118 St. Clair Hall. Papers must be at least two pages long and have received a grade of at least an A at Columbia College.
