Columbia College's Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield campuses to hold commencement ceremony May 18

(FORT STEWART, Ga.)-Columbia College campuses on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will confer 72 associate and 123 bachelor's degrees to students at a commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18 at Club Stewart, 406 Hero Road, on Fort Stewart.

The commencement will be a joint ceremony for Columbia College and 30 other colleges, universities and other organizations serving the Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield communities. Rene' Massey, Columbia College assistant dean for Adult Higher Education, will confer Columbia College degrees.

"For the last 30 years Columbia College has helped working adults and military personnel pursue college degrees," said Massey. "We're proud of the accomplishments of our Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield graduates."

Columbia College campuses on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield were established in 2002 to serve military personnel and their family members, as well as working adult learners in the Savannah and Hinesville, Ga., areas.

Columbia College serves nearly 25,000 students each year at its Day Campus, Evening Campus, Online Campus, Graduate Studies Program and its more than 30 Nationwide Campuses.
