Master of Science in Criminal Justice Admission requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in criminal justice with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Official transcripts from institutions where you received a degree, from which you are transferring prerequisite courses, or any international institutions.
  • Unofficial transcripts from all other institutions from which you received credit
  • Completed application including narrative component
  • Professional goal statement

Applicants who possess a baccalaureate degree not in criminal justice may also be considered for admission to the MSCJ program. However, they must first complete undergraduate courses CJAD 101: Introduction to Criminal Justice and CJAD 415: Criminal Procedures , earning a "B" or higher in both. Subsequent to successful completion of these courses their file may be reviewed for admission to the MSCJ program.
