High School Summer Arts Intensive (SAI)
Fuel your creativity at the Columbia College High School Summer Arts Intensive. You'll work with exceptional art faculty and learn new techniques in drawing, jewelry, mixed media and painting sessions. This camp is ideal for creative thinkers interested in building their artistic skill, receiving valuable input on their work and learning more about the Columbia art scene.
The 2018 SAI runs from Monday, June 4 - Saturday, June 9.
Each student will rank their preferred morning sessions and we will do our best to ensure everyone gets their first pick. If a session has to be cancelled due to low enrollment, students will be moved into their second choice. Morning session options include Drawing, Jewelry or Mixed Media (which will be taught from 9 a.m. to noon). During the afternoon session (from 1-4 p.m.), all attendees will be traveling together to the Delmar Cobble School for Disabled Students to paint a mural in one of their primary hallways! Students will need to be dropped off in the morning by 9 a.m. and picked up in the evening by 4 p.m., or students can drive themselves and park for free in our parking lot.
We will conclude on Saturday, June 9th with an exhibition and reception in the Greg Hardwick Gallery from 3-4 p.m., where all the student artwork made during SAI will be on display. All family and friends are invited to come for the reception!
Registration is due by May 7th! Register today at SummerCamps.ccis.edu. The workshop fee is fully refundable until May 28th.
