Q: Why did you choose your major?
Matt: I would like to attend medical school after Columbia College and the biology program allows me to finish the necessary prerequisites.
Q: Why did you choose to study at Columbia College?
Matt:Columbia College offers small class sizes yet I still get to enjoy the big college town atmosphere. Also, Columbia College offers a wide variety of scholarships, making my education affordable.
Q: What is the atmosphere like in a Coumbia College classroom?
Matt:They make you feel very comfortable. The professors do an excellent job of learning names and building a personal relationship with each student. I feel completely comfortable approaching a professor after class for any questions I might have.
Mackenzie Booth - Chemistry - 2014
Q: Why did you choose your major?
Mackenzie: I'm a pre-med student and my research showed that chemistry is a huge part of the MCAT. I'm lucky enough to put myself ahead for that test while studying something that I enjoy.
Q: What field/career area do you plan to go into after you graduate?
Mackenzie:I'm going to be a pediatrician so that I can teach children healthy lifestyles from a young age. I plan to spend time in poor countries nursing children back to health.
Q: Has Columbia College been a good fit for you?
Mackenzie:Yes. I've met the best friends I've ever had and I swear my professors could not be better if I was studying at Yale!
