Math tutoring is available on a drop-in basis to students enrolled in  Beginning Algebra through Calculus II and Statistics I. These services are provided free of charge to students enrolled for credit in a course offered through the Computer and Mathematical Sciences Department on the Columbia College home campus as well as local online students.

We operate a large friendly comfortable center with a capacity for 16-18 students. Professional tutors are available Monday through Friday with more limited hours on Sunday during the Fall and Spring semesters. Tutors are also available Monday through Thursday during the Summer semester.

The Bruce Math Center can help with:

• Explaining concepts
• Solving non-graded problems
• Problem-solving development
• Test-taking strategies
• Strategies for dealing with math anxiety

We also provide:

• The text and solutions manuals for most of the courses we tutor
• Graphing calculator instruction
• Handouts on selected topics
• Mathematica and Geometer's Sketchpad computer software
• Self-help resources

Students are responsible for:

• Attending class regularly (Missed Class Policy)
• Bringing text, class notes, assignments
• Being familiar with our  Bruce Math Center Policies
