Ken Akers serves as Chair and Instructor in the Business Administration Department at Columbia College. He began teaching in the Department in 2012. He received his M.S. in Corporate and Professional Communication from Radford University in 2004. He is currently in his last year of course work for his PhD in Organizational Communication at the University of Missouri. Mr. Akers was a commissioned officer in the Army Reserve for 13 years. He has taught university level courses in Management, Business Communication, Organizational Theory, Business Information Systems, Organizational Behavior, and Ethics. He teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Mr. Akers has presented original research at National Conferences in the Communication and Management fields.
