The Master of Education in Educational Leadership provides a deeper understanding of the practices involved in leading a school. You’ll learn the research, policies and theories behind administrative decision making. This insight can help guide best practices in classrooms, departments, schools and districts.

Students in the MED program may select an emphasis in Initial Principal Certification*; Gifted Certification; Reading Specialist; and Instructional Coach..

The MAT and M.Ed. degree programs are approved in the State of Missouri by the Missouri Department of Higher Education. State approval does not guarantee licensure eligibility in any state for the MAT, M.Ed. or any specialty emphasis areas within these degree programs. (Certification programs within some M.Ed. emphasis areas are for Missouri certification only.) For all states other than Missouri, there has been no determination of licensure eligibility. Students residing outside of Missouri must email EducatorPrep@ccis.edu to determine eligibility in their state.
