(COLUMBIA, Mo.) -- Columbia College's San Diego campus will hold an open house Monday, March 23 to welcome the first class at the collegeís newest campus. The festivities will start at 10:30 a.m. with Brigadier General Angela Salinas, Command General MCRD/WRR, making the opening remarks. Dr. Gerald Brouder, president of Columbia College, will be speaking at approximately 10:40 a.m. Also scheduled to be in attendance are Lt. Col Aldridge, Faye Blas, director of Family Services MCCS, James Brooks, education service officer, Mike Randerson, vice president for Adult Higher Education and Gary Oedewaldt, assistant dean for Adult Higher Education.
The campus will offer an associate and bachelorís degree in general studies. Lunch hour classes for busy Marines, Coast Guard, Sailors and airmen begin March 26. The campus is located at 4025 Tripoli Ave. Bldg. 111.
