New director appointed at Columbia College-Aurora

(AURORA, CO) - David Mull has been selected as the new director of Columbia College-Aurora.

In his new position, Mull will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the Aurora campus, including student and faculty recruitment and retention, and class scheduling. He began his duties May 1.

Mull's first association with Columbia College was as a student. He became an adjunct faculty member in 1999 and has served as assistant director of the campus since July 2000.

Before joining Columbia College, Mull served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years, beginning as a hospital corpsman and rising to lieutenant commander. He held medical analyst, senior operations manager and medical recruiter positions in the Navy.

Mull earned a master's degree in human resources development and management from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Maryland.

"David's wealth of talent and experience, particularly in the area of human resources, will be an immense benefit to Columbia College-Aurora," said Mike Randerson, associate vice president and dean for the Extended Studies Division at Columbia College. "We are very pleased to welcome him as part of our team."

This year, Columbia College-Aurora celebrates 30 years of serving the higher education needs of civilian and military adult learners in the area. Established in Denver in 1975, the campus moved to Aurora in 1979 after enrollments outpaced available space. The campus serves active duty military personnel at Lowry Air Force Base, plus retired military and corporate students from major companies in the area.

Columbia College serves more than 20,000 students each year at its 30 nationwide campuses, Day Campus, Evening Campus, Online Campus and Graduate Studies Program.
