This is an introductory level digital moviemaking course that builds basic skills in video preproduction, videography techniques, sound, digital video editing software using Final Cut Express. Lab fee required

      ·1 To create a storyboard and write a film script.

      ·2 To edit and use the effects windows

      ·3 To use input and output windows

      ·4 To edit DV files using videography techniques

      ·5 To capture video from camera.

      ·6 To edit on the time line and the canvas.

      ·7 To incorporate sound editing and techniques

      ·8 To setup the final output for DVD

   
Measurable Learning Outcomes:

      ·1 List the requirements for a digital film script.

      ·2 Illustrate the use of special effects in digital films.

      ·3 Apply techniques including alpha channels for special effects.

      ·4 Incorporate the use of effective editing techniques for enhanced content and story.

      ·5 Apply channels, layers, and lighting.

      ·6 Employ Final Cut for making digital videos for music, instructional, educational, social, surrealistic or experimental.

      ·7 Pre-production planning movie concept and prepare a storyboard

      ·8 Production recording video and sound, rehearsal, acquire music

      ·9 Post-Production capture and video editing and sound.
