The Columbia College Stream Clean team finds scary things in the water.The Columbia College Stream Clean team, led by David Karr, assistant professor of history, met on a recent Saturday to collect trash along the Flat Branch Creek. This year, students and faculty members including Dr. Joseph Carrier, associate professor of criminal justice administration, Dr. Yngve Digernes, assistant professor of sociology, Kenneth Felts, computer and mathematical sciences instructor, Graham Higgs, associate professor of psychology, Sarah Larson, Online Campus advisor, Dr. James McAllister, associate professor of biology and Dr. Youlong Zhuang, assistant professor of computer and mathematical sciences, collected nine big bags full of trash and metal – including a very scary lead-acid battery.
