November 2009A spirited week
The college celebrated Spirit Week with pumpkin- and door-decorating contests.Columbia College Family Day and Homecoming in mid-October was preceded by Spirit Week, a chance for students, faculty and staff to wear their Cougar pride on their sleeve. There was a hunt for Scooter the Cougar (he was hiding in the Alumni Relations office), a bonfire and pep rally, a rock-paper-scissors tournament, a pumpkin decorating contest and a faculty and staff door-decorating contest.
Door winners were:
1st Place: Adult Higher Education
2nd Place: Marketing
3rd Place: Campus Life
In the crucial pumpkin contest, AHE nabbed first place again with its appropriate take on the Great Pumpkin. The No. 2 spot went to Student Support Services and No. 3, Campus Life. Honorable mentions went to Admissions and Maintenance.
Congratulations to everyone and let someone else win next year, AHE.
