Terri Zeilenga, M.A., LPC, director of counseling services, recently attended the annual retreat of Missouri university and college counseling center directors in Kansas City.

Lt. Col. Tery Donelson (ret.), assistant vice president for enrollment management, attended the Mid-Missouri Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America's spring brunch.

Dr. Brenda Drewett, associate director, Columbia College - Ft. Worth, reports students Culinary Specialist 2 Idahoise Oniha was named Naval Air Station Fort Worth's Junior Sailor of the Year and Culinary Specialist 3 Lorenzo Wright '08 its Blue Jacket of the Year.

Michael Polley, associate professor of history, has been tapped to write articles about statesman George F. Kennan and broadcaster Edward R. Murrow for the Salem Press's Encyclopedia of the Forties.

Ken Felts, assistant professor of computer and mathematical sciences, has successfully defended his dissertation and will be graduating with a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri in May (in math, of course).

Edward Collings, art professor and the college's longest-serving professor, won a prize for his 1976 photograph "Zesto" at the Landmark Visions photography exhibition (at right).

Tami Lorenson '09, college student employee for September 2008, has been named the National Association of Student Employment Administrators's Student Employee of the Year for Missouri.
