College is gold sponsor for local business showcase

The Columbia Chamber of Commerce is hosting; CC will have a booth.

Columbia College is proud to once again be a Gold Sponsor for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce Business Showcase. The college will be represented in promotional materials in the newspaper, on TV and the radio, as well as at the event itself.

This event takes place at the Holiday Day Inn Expo Center in Columbia on Tuesday, March 4, from 9 — 11:30 a.m. and again from 1 — 4 p.m.

This is the premier business showcase in central Missouri, and all 115 booths have sold out. It is an exceptional professional networking event.

Columbia College maintains a prominent placement at booth 57, which is a prime mid-room aisle spot. The college will have an interesting and informative booth staffed by the Admissions team to share information with prospective and current students, as well as alumni and the community at large.

If you are interested and if you are able to get away to come represent the college and network for an hour or so, Public Relations has FREE ADMISSION tickets ($5 value) that we will distribute on a first-come, first-serve basis. Maximum of two per person please. Contact Heather Williams in Public Relations, St. Clair 8, or at hmwilliams@ccis.edu.

Columbia College is a Board of Advisors level member of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce. This means that every person who works for the college is considered a member. So, any Chamber events that you are interested in, you are entitled to register to attend. You also are eligible to join the Women’s Network for an annual fee. The Chamber also offers EPIC (Emerging Professionals in Columbia) for no fee. If you ever have any questions about the Chamber, please feel free to ask Suzanne Rothwell in Public Relations at ext. 7207.

In addition to the Business Showcase on March 4, the Chamber will host a Quarterly Membership Breakfast that morning at the adjoining Holiday Inn Executive Center Ballroom. Doors open at 7:15 a.m. You will join about 600 other community leaders as you enjoy Chamber announcements of importance to the community at large.

Also on this same day, the Women’s Network will host a luncheon on site from 11:30 a.m. — 1 p.m. Men are welcome and encouraged to attend all Women’s Network luncheons.

You may register for either of those events on your own at www.columbiamochamber.com. There are separate costs for each.

While dress for the Quarterly Membership Breakfast is usually professional, the dress is more relaxed for the Business Showcase, with the majority of attendees wearing company logo shirts.
