Office of institutional compliance createdThe office will ensure college compliance with regulatory requirements.
Dr. Terry Smith has announced the creation of the Office of Institutional Compliance. Misty Bush, compliance officer, will become the director of the office and will report to the president's office, which was effective Aug. 19. The upgrading of this unit is necessary due to increasing federal, state and local regulatory compliance requirements and the need for greater compliance coordination within the college.
He also announced the establishment of a working unit that coordinates key quality assurance activities: accreditation (Dr. Steve Wiegenstein, associate dean for Academic Affairs), compliance (Misty Bush, director of compliance) and effectiveness (Mara Roberts, assistant dean for Academic Affairs, for LEAN, and Misty Haskamp, director of Institutional Research). The unit, known as ACE, will also report to the president's office.
