Online Campus advisor receives praise

Student expresses gratitude to Graham Greer's dedication and professionalism.

As Columbia College faculty and staff, we all strive to provide excellent customer service and help students have the best educational experience possible, regardless of our position or duties. Indeed, everything we do is to serve our students in one capacity or another. That’s why it’s nice to receive positive feedback and gratitude from students whose lives we have changed. Just ask Graham Greer, academic advisor II for Online Campus. Since becoming an advisor at Columbia College in 2007, he has helped many students in pursuit of their academic goals, and recently one such student reached out to Online Campus to share his thoughts about Graham’s contributions as an advisor.

“I had been an Online student at Columbia College up until this past March when I graduated with a B.S. in business administration. I wanted to take a moment to write about the counselor that I had for the two and a half years of my attendance, Graham Greer.

Being in the military, I was immediately faced with the challenge of trying to attend college without the ability to physically be on a campus. From the very beginning, Graham not only gave me excellent information and direction, but his demeanor took away any uneasiness I felt, effectively building my confidence. Throughout my time at Columbia College, Graham was always very attentive to my needs, consistently handling any situation I had with a contagiously friendly attitude and professionalism.

Before I joined the Army, I worked in the service industry for about thirteen years. Because of this, I feel I am qualified to know what it means to give truly good service to people. It is my genuine belief that Graham's counsel played a direct role in my completion of college and his methods should be the standard of service by which others strive to achieve.
Thank you for your time. I hope that what I've written here today adequately reflects my sincere gratitude.”

Columbia College appreciates this student’s feedback and congratulates Graham on a job well done!
