Community Leadership Breakfast
Columbia College leaders brief Columbia's leaders about current and upcoming projects.
Columbia College hosted a community leadership briefing breakfast Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 a.m. in Dulany Hall. Community leaders, including Mayor Bob McDavid and Rep. Chris Kelly, were on hand to learn about the growth and change that has occurred during the past year.
During breakfast, Dr. Brouder shared the positive impact donors have had on Columbia College students. For example, thanks to the Tradition Meets Tomorrow campaign, the new science building is well underway.
The briefing also highlighted a major milestone for the College: the Steven & Barbara Fishman Center for Entrepreneurship, which is being created thanks to a half-million-dollar gift by Steve Fishman, chairman, CEO and president of Big Lots, Inc. The center will allow students to create, cultivate and launch their companies during their undergraduate experience at Columbia College. The Fishmans hope this facility will make Columbia College a destination for entrepreneurs.
