Dr. Graham Higgs, Department of Psychology and Sociology chair and professor of psychology and education, reports that the inaugural class of behavioral and social science ethicists completed their semester study as groundbreaking began - "What an awesome way to begin the new sciences programs at Columbia College! A world class science center is under construction and the ethics course that will guide scholars to the highest standards for research practice is underway."

Tina McNeil, admissions counselor, was named this year’s Rising Star by the Missouri Association of College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) at the annual MOACAC/Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling Conference. The award is given to a MOACAC member who has been in the college admission profession less than three years and contributed to helping students by enthusiastic and professional involvement in admissions

Marco Tapia

Marco Tapia, Serving the Public Servants Coordinator and a 1989 criminal justice administration graduate, was named April 2012 Volunteer of the Month by the city of Columbia, Mo. Tapia is the host of “Making a Difference” on CAT-TV, which highlights volunteering.  Prior to Columbia College, Tapia spent more than 30 years in law enforcement.
