Black Business Expo

The Columbia College Black Business Expo shines a spotlight on Black small businesses and will provide an opportunity to shop everything from food, fashion, beauty, art, financial services and so much more! You don’t want to miss this opportunity to support Black-owned businesses.

International Coffee Hour

International Coffee Hour is an informal gathering that brings Columbia College students, staff and faculty together over coffee and international cuisine. Hosted each month by students from a different country, International Coffee Hour is an opportunity to share culture and friendship through food, entertainment, or talks in a casual environment.

Pop-up events

Additional diversity-related topical events and training opportunities pop-up throughout the year such as the recent panel discussion centering around the New York Times Special Edition Issue of the “1619 Project” which recounts slavery in America. The panelist examined the history of slavery as it pertained to Missouri, and the residual effects of slavery in the local area.

International Extravaganza

A celebration of Columbia College's international student community. This annual event has become a can't-miss fixture on the main campus, showcasing other cultures with food, music, clothing and performances from our international student community.

The Annual Night of Unity allows students to share their voices through a talent showcase. Through song, spoken word, skits and more, students listen and celebrate their unique voices at Columbia College.

Black History Month

A month of activities examining the history of black Americans. February brings a series of activities at the main campus in celebration of black history, with displays, interactive art, video projects, and the annual Night of Unity, which acts as the culmination of the month’s events.

Every March, Columbia College hosts a series of events to celebrate Women’s History Month, including keynote speakers, film screenings and discussions, aimed at celebrating women and examining the challenges women face in society.
