Student Accessibility Resources

The Student Accessibility Resources office is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment. We believe in the potential of every student, and we work tirelessly to ensure you have the tools and support needed to excel. 

We offer academic accommodations that empower you to take ownership of your education and achieve the academic success you are capable of. Web Accessibility

Columbia College is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

  • Appoints an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Based on these guidelines Columbia College is working to achieve Level AA compliance with some thoughtful exceptions in a hope to continually make our web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and intuitive for everyone. Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Images of text are only used for decorative purposes.
