-* Game Day Staff
Description: Game Day Staff members will work in a variety of roles during all home Volleyball, Men's or Women's Soccer, Men's or Women's Basketball games including other outside events. Roles will vary depending upon talents and comfort. Some positions include operating scoreboards, game film, instant replay, assisting with stats, helping with promotional activities, and assisting general game day operations. 10 hours available. Qualifications: Must be Work Study Eligible. Applicant must be comfortable working in an athletic environment. They must be willing to work nights and weekends. They also must be service-oriented as many of our events are well attended. The applicant must be hard working and dedicated to working as many games/events as possible.

Description: Responsible for customer service, filing, data entry, making copies, scanning, sorting, and distributing incoming mail, maintaining office supplies and inventory, and miscellaneous errands around campus. Description: Greet patrons with a pleasant and customer friendly attitude. Assist patrons with the general use of the library reserving rooms, providing directions, etc. Perform materials check-out and check-in and other genearal circulation duties. Shelve materials. Assist patrons in locating materials. Answer telephones and transfer calls to appropriate personnel. Assist patrons using the computers, printers, and copy machines. Description: Employee is responsible for properly cleaning, washing and sanitizing all dishes and putting them away in their proper storage locations. Work area will be thoroughly cleaned daily and employee will be responsible for assisting with sweeping and mopping of entire food service area as directed by supervisor. Will also be responsible for trash removal and any other tasks assigned by supervisor.50 hours available. Qualifications: Can be Work Study or Work Program eligible. Applicant must be able to work in a very fast paced, ever changing environment. Ability to multi task. Experience with customer services, and previous food service experience preferred. Description: This position will file and alphabetize various documents as well as perform basic data entry, scanning, and double-checking of transcripts for accuracy and clarity on a weekly basis. This position will also assist with special projects and run on-campus errands. Other duties as assigned. 10 hours available. Qualifications: Must be Work Study eligible. Applicant must be able to work a consistent schedule. Ability to attend to detail. Have a positive/friendly attitude as well as be dependable and trustworthy. -* Tech Services- Network Services Assistant
Description: The Network Services Assistant position will work with the Colleges Network Services staff in monitoring, maintaining, and setting up various parts of the network infrastructure for Columbia College.20 hours available. Qualifications: Can be Work Study or Work Program eligible. Must strive for excellence in customer service and function as a proative customer advocate. Stong technical troubleshooting skills. Communicate clearly and accurately in verbal and written format. Needs a high level of energy and outgoing personality, as well as the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a minimum direction. Must be organized, have an attention to detail, use good judgment and ability to set priorities. Ability to describe issues in detail when escalating.

Description: Greet students, collect VA paperwork, assist with filing; faxing; and scanning, perform basic data entry, maintain VA student files, create VA information packets, assist with special projects, and other duties as assigned. 15 hours available. Qualifications: Must be Work-Study eligible. Outgoing/friendly attitude, ability to attend to detail, be dependable and trustworthy, and the ability to work a conistent schedule. Description: This student would need excellent reading, writing, speaking skills in order to answer phones, take messages, schedule appointments, greet students, give students appropriate forms after ascertaining need, providing grammar and vocabulary for the day, keeping statistics for the center, revising , copying, and purveying flyers, filing, maintaining all contacts, etc. with MPS, keeping up supplies, providing advertising for various activities of the center (Scrabble games, etc.), doing a lot of administrative support for the Festival of Writing, and other administrative support errands as needed delivering items, attending training and meetings, etc. 5 hours available. Qualifications: Must be work study eligible. A Columbia College student who has some background in computer skills, excel, has good grammar, spelling, and some editing skills, who knows how to interact with the public good customer service skills yet can set boundaries, eye for detail, overall pleasant and knowledgeable in dealing with people even when they are panicked about academic papers.

Description: Provides assistance with the following tasks: Assist in general office duties (e.g., answer phones, file, staff meeting notes (types and files in electronic file) assemble packets, prepare envelopes for mailings, completes journal entries, research assignments, delivers print materials throughout assigned areas on Campus. Assist with preparation and set up of activities and events. Promotional products: fill orders received, prepare paperwork and deliver to MPS, manage the inventory, receive, organize and maintain stock. All other duties as assigned. 20 hours available. Qualifications: Must be work study eligible. Must be a reliable and independent worker in a fast paced, ever changing environment. Ability to multi-task. Experience with customer service. -* Banks Office Assistant
Description: Employee will do the following: Sign confidentiality agreement for Res. Life and Student Affairs. Work in the office after hours or hours when the AC is not present during the day to provide students with access to hall amenities. Provide lock-out assistance when needed. Know the resources on campus in case students need a referral to some other area. Ensure storage and supply areas are kept accessible and tidy. Weekly check of lounges to ensure furniture and accessories are as they should be. Weekly meeting with AC about position and personal development. Answer phone when necessary. Deliver and retrieve items from MPS. Design and distribute marketing materials for events, hall closure, important information for students, break housing information, etc. (Marketing is not limited to these items.) Assist AC in reviewing, scanning and filing paperwork. Responsible for keeping Campus Event boards clean looking by organizing material and removing outdated information. As always in Student Affairs, other duties as assigned. 10 hours available.Qualifications: Must be work study eligible. Student needs to be living in Banks or Hughes Hall and have a GPA of 2.5 or above.

Description: Student will assist in organizing chemistry laboratories and in updating and maintaining chemical inventories. 8 hours available. Qualifications: Must be work study eligible. Knowledge of general chemistry. Basic computer knowledge. Good organizational skills.

Description: Assist with day-to-day activities for the Academic Affairs office and Academic Affairs Advising Staff during the school year. Description: Individuals will assist with work station and software deployment. Duties include setting up computers and preparing them for staff use. Description: Provide assistance with the following tasks: Assist with repacking and/or sorting of food. Assist with maintaining the Volunteer Room and processing equipment cleanliness utilizing superior housekeeping and sanitary techniques. Assist with work area set-up and break-down for each specific project. Assist with inventory on Volunteer Room supplies. Assist as receptionist at front desk receiving volunteers/donors. Work at all times to maintain the image of The Food Bank as a positive one in the public view, most specifically as it pertain to the critical nature of volunteer relations. Description: The Nursing Department Student Worker assists in the day to day operations of the Nursing Program, including receiving and assisting students, faculty, and others, both in person and by phone and performs clerical and secretarial functions with accountability to the Nursing Site Coordinator. 20 hrs available. Description: The RFS Ambassador will serve students in both the call center and walk-in center, will counsel students regarding eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid programs, assist students with payments and/or questions in reference to their account, and register students for courses. In addition, will assist with special projects throughout the year. Other duties as assigned. 25 hours available. Qualifications: Must be work study eligible. Applicant must be able to work in a very fast- paced, ever changing environment, and switching gears as needed. Must work a consistent schedule. Ability to attend to detail. Description: Transcripts Assistant assists with processing transcript requests, answering calls regarding the process/status of requests, data entry of request information into Colleague, updating address information, processes payment information for priority status requests and filing/purging form and other duties as assigned. Student Records Assistant assists with packaging/mailing diplomas, proofreading transcripts and mailing labels, completing the posting status in Colleague and compilation of graduation letters in diploma covers for Commencement. Provides assistance with scanning registration documents and various forms and indexing into OnBase, completing enrollment verifications for outside agencies, filing of all registration forms, various Commencement related activities, preparing form packets for Connections events and Advising Week. 25 hours available. Qualifications: Must be Work Study eligible. Must have a strong attention to detail; positive and friendly attitude. Must have good communication skills and be able to manage confidential information. Must be comfortable working on a team or independently.
-* Technology Services Lab Assistant
Description: The Lab Assistant position involves the monitoring of the Columbia College open computer labs in Buchanan Hall, The Tenth Street Center, and/or Federal Hall. When in Buchanan Hall the lab assistant will also assist instructors as needed in the two classroom computer labs. Lab Assistants will assist customers in troubleshooting basic computer problems as well as attending to lab hardware (computers, printer, scanner, and copier). More complex software and hardware will be escalated to the Lab Coordinator for resolution.35 hours available. Description: Office Assistant serves as photography and historical assistance for all sports and includes working during games and other athletic events. Assistant will spend majority of time inputting, editing and organizing for department. 15 hours available. Qualifications: Must be Work Study or Work Program eligible. -* Human Resources Office Assistant:
Description:Office Assistant serves as application processor who updates applicant spreadsheet with current/ update application information. Are also in charge of taking care of re-apply application request. Assistant will serve as backup for forwarding applications to hiring managers in the absence of the Administrative Assistant. Student Assistants are back up to the Administrative Assistant for first point of contact for all walk in traffic and incoming phone calls to ensure all customers receive outstanding customer services. Assistants maintain filing for personnel, benefit, and student files which keeps all files up to date. Assistant will also be responsible for creating and maintaining new employee packets for student employees, part time employees and full time employees. Assistants serve as back up for escorting interview candidates to their interview locations. Responsible for corresponding with student employees in regards to their application status. Forward applications based on eligibility to hiring managers. Participating and / or assisting with planning Connections Days, and National Student Employment Appreciation Week Activities as well as other HR sponsored events. Description: The Institutional Research office provides technical, organizational and analytical support for a broad range of Columbia College data needs, originating both internally and externally. Assist with the digital archiving of historic and back student records, as well as assist with other college wide document imaging special projects. Prepare documents for scanning, operate high speed scanner, perform detailed inspection of scanned digital files, sort, alphabetize and file various forms, perform basic data entry and other duties as assigned. 25 hours available. Description: Office Assistant will primarily be performing filing and data entry responsibilities. Greeting and assisting students, faculty, and staff in person, on the telephone, and via e-mail may also be expected. Sorting paperwork in student files in preparation for scanning by staff. Office Assistant will also be responsible for cleaning tables, boards, and preparing classrooms for classes. Office Assistant will also be responsible for assisting with various projects throughout the year and complete other duties as assigned. Work hours flexible. 16 hours per week.
