The Business Administration Department at Columbia College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant/associate professor level in management and/or marketing beginning August 2014. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses that may include strategic management, human resource management, advertising and sales management, sports and event marketing, and public relations. Preference will be given to applicants with considerable teaching experience in strategic management. Teaching load is 12 hours, four courses per semester; load is reduced when teaching in the MBA program. Additional duties include serving on approximately two college-wide committees and active involvement in all departmental and college functions.
Minimum qualifications include doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in a management and/or marketing-related field or being ABD nearing completion and a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advisement. Preferred qualifications include prior college teaching, business experience, and a history of working with diverse populations.
