Office 2007 Home Campus Upgrade Schedule
Phase 1 (May - June): Staff Computers
To prepare for the STAFF computer upgrade, please follow the steps below:
1. We encourage you to backup any important documents from your computer to the I:\ drive before the ugprade. Please do not backup any music files, pictures, or videos. Backing up your documents to your network drive periodically is always a good idea. Click here to find out more about the I:\ drive and how to access it.
2. An email with specific details related to your upgrade will be sent a week prior and a day prior. We have tested the upgrade process with much success. We plan to have technicians on hand to help if any problems arise. Here is a general overview of the upgrade process:
a. The night before your upgrade, TechServices will ask that you shut down your computer.
b. On the morning of the upgrade, turn the computers on (anyone may do this). The upgrade file will load. Upon login to the computer, the upgrade will complete.
c. The entire process from starting the computer, login, to installation completion will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
For example, the upgrade came through this morning on my computer. Test person 1 arrived in the office at approx. 7:50 a.m. started the computer, logged in, and was ready to start using the computer at approx. 8:05 a.m.
