Registering your computer
In order to access the Internet on campus, you will be required to register your computer. During the registration process your computer will automatically be scanned to insure you have the latest Windows Updates and an updated version of antivirus software. This helps to keep our network secure and keeps your files and computer protected. If you need an antivirus software, we offer it for free. Just log in to eServices and click Downloads.Registering your computer
- Open Internet Explorer.
- If you are
- On campus, the Welcome page will open. NOTE: to see if you computer needs to register from on campus, go to www.google.com. The registration page should display. Or,
- If you are off campus, type the address http://netcomply.ccis.edu.
- At the Welcome page, under Columbia College Users, click users who have an eServices account.
- You will be prompted for a username and password, enter the same username and password you use for eServices.
NOTE: If you are unable to login, please reactivate your eServices account by going to eServices and clicking the Reactivate your Login link.
- At the Device Type drop down menu, select the appropriate device and click Download.
- Windows will display two dialog boxes, click Run in each of the dialog boxes.
- The scan will begin on your computer to insure your antivirus software and Windows Updates are current. Please be patient, this may take 5 -10 minutes.
- Once the scan is complete, the results will be returned to you.
- If the scan is successful, you will receive the message You have successfully registered on the network. At this point, please close your browser window and restart your computer. Or,
- If your computer fails all or a portion of the scan, you will need to carefully read the instructions provided and complete the steps to insure your computer meets the minimum qualifications. If your computer requires antivirus software, Columbia College provides free anti-virus software.
